Ready for change?

Design the next stage of your career according to what matters most to you

MOMENTUM CAREER COACHING
I work with people who are mid-career and, for whatever reason, are ready to make a change. Sometimes that means a full pivot or a jump into entrepreneurship; sometimes a few tweaks are all that is needed to make a powerful difference. I use evidence-based coaching techniques to help my clients discover their ideal future path based on their unique strengths, values and interests, and I support them to remove blocks and create that ideal future.

I can help with:

• Career planning / finding clarity on your next career move
• Identifying your intrinsic strengths, values and interests
• Setting and achieving long and short-term goals
• Getting unstuck when plans have stalled
• Tapping into and trusting your intuition
• Developing your career confidence
• Improving work-life balance
• Developing personal networks
• Applications and job interviews

I’ve worked with leaders in international organizations, private sector and non-profit organizations, as well as solopreneurs and founders.

"Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it."

Emily Fraser Voigt
I have worked for 20+ years in coaching, journalism, and training. I thrive on having variety in my work, connecting with people, and making an impact.

I believe very strongly in the importance of knowing and living into our values. I pivoted into coaching after years as a journalist and editor to get closer to my values of personal growth and helping others. Freedom, curiosity and flexibility have always been clear values for me. Excellence is another, and I have always strived to deliver my best work whichever path I was on. Coaching gives me the chance to live all of these values at once.

A value-driven career makes work more meaningful and rewarding. I am excited to help you discover what your ideal path might look like based on your unique strengths, values and interests, and to support you to create your ideal future.

As a coach, I am committed to ongoing personal development, training and ethics in coaching. As such, I have an ACC credential from the International Coaching Federation. I am a certified Career and Excecutive Coach. And I have an MBA degree in Coaching, Mentoring and Leadership (York St. John University).

What is coaching?

Coaching is a partnership (defined as an alliance, not a legal business partnership) between the Coach and the Client in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires the client to maximize personal and professional potential. It is designed to facilitate the creation/development of personal, professional, or business goals and to develop and carry out a strategy/plan for achieving those goals. (see https://coachingfederation.org)

What should I expect from a coaching session?

You should expect an engaging conversation in full support of your goals. I will help you explore your goals, obstacles, and options, and develop an action plan that feels right for you. I follow the ICF Code of Ethics and you can rest assured that everything we talk about within a session is treated as strictly private and confidential.

What's the difference between coaching, therapy and consulting?

Coaching is positive and forward looking, and focuses on what the client is capable of when at their best, while therapy may dwell on past events and negative experiences. A coach may inquire about a client's emotions, but does not diagnose or treat psychological conditions. Coaching and therapy both emphasize client autonomy, by encouraging the client to discover their own solutions, whereas a consultant may give concrete advice and direction. A consultant will focus more on practical solutions to a problem rather than on the client as a person.

Where did you get your qualifications?

My MBA in Coaching, Mentoring and Leadership is from York St. John University in the UK. My professional coach certification and career coach certification are from the World Coach Institute.
